Has anybody got any good ideas or locations for a good WW2 game.

Forestry Commission land
I've been wondering about pestering the Forestry Com' to see if they will give in and "lend" us some land. They automatically say no to any requests for "public activities", but a lot of the forests up here (Co.Antrim) are used by syndicates for pheasant shoots between Oct 31st and Feb 1st... Airsoft is far less lethal, so I reckon, with enough folk asking, they might give in.
Also with crops failing in a big way this year, there would probably be a few farmers out there who'd be only too happy to "rent" some land out to a load of airsofters.

Not a bad idea, worth looking into further, we just need to get the numbers up to get it going. Do you know anyone else interested in the idea?

Re: Game Ideas
I'm going to have a chat with a local gun shop owner. He used to run sceet/clay shoots on his own land just outside Coleraine (Co.Londonderry), as far as I know he still has the land and might be willing to "rent" it out.
He's quite elderly and pretty much deaf as a post so it's not easy explaining what it is I want the land for... He does stock a few airsoft bits and pieces in his shop (CO2 pistols, plastic CyberGun M15's and thousands of .12g BB's), but I don't think he realises exactly how big the sport/game really is.
Anyway, I'll let you all know how it goes as soon as I've spoken to him.

Re: Game Ideas
The gunshop guy is so deaf it's impossible to explain exactly what it is I'm asking for so I've pretty much given up on that idea. Instead I've started focusing all my energy on the Forestry Service.
If you check out the Forestry Service website, they have application forms for a "Activities Permit"... I've emailed them asking what activities the activities permit permits, but they haven't got back to me... they probably think I'm having a laugh.
I will step up my emails from once a fortnight to once a week until I break them!
(not really, but I'll keep trying)
Failing that, I suppose I should just fill in an application form and see what happens. For some reason I did not think of that, duh.
